Getting the games up on Steam not only feels like a huge badge of honour, but will also hopefully bring them to an entirely new audience. Here’s hoping it sells at least a million billion squillion copies, so we can finally afford to make more trendy games for you.
If you’re here via Steam: welcome! Why not join in the forums and say hello? Or let us know what you think of BTDT and TGP?
If you’ve got a problem, drop me a line to dan@zombie-cow.com and I’ll do my very best to sort you out as soon as possible.
That said: if it’s a Steam-specific problem, please do ask them, I wouldn’t have a clue what to say.
Also, please don’t email me if you’re stuck, ask away at the forums and someone will be able to give you a shove in the right direction.
See us on Steam here. There’s an appreciation page for the games to join here.

Nice one lads! Hope it leads to some serious exposure :)
Will we be able to transfer copies bought before this onto Steam?
I don’t think so, I’m afraid. But please do feel free to buy it again, and show your support ;)
I must admit, it’s good enough that I’m tempted to. Anyone who comes up with the euphemism ‘widow’s comforter’ deserves substantial financial reward.
I’m afraid ‘widow’s comforter’ is genuine. We’re not that funny and inventive.
Aww. You disappoint me. :P
Just bought the game pack on steam! And have started Time Gentlement, Please! first… if by accident…
Love the game guys, especially the humour, its very… modern in a way :P
Keep up the good work!!
Although we did research ‘widow’s comforter’ very professionally…
While picking this up on steam, I noticed on the store page there is a demo. So is that just Ben There Dan That!, or did you create an actual demo to give them?
That’s the demo for TGP…
This is magnificent and THAT’S ALL I’M GONNA SAY ABOUT IT.
Bought the pack this morning after playing the demo. I finished Ben there, Dan that and can’t wait to play trough TGP.
Excellent stuff! even better then the Telltale stuff i’ve played so far
Hey guys, I bought your games on steam, thinking I was getting a sweetass deal!
I wasn’t, I got a 1 cent discount!
But anyway, I love your games. The humor is priceless, reminds me of Lucasarts’ older material and like Ketchup dude, I find it better than most Telltale games I’ve played.
There’s ONE thing that bothers me a lot though: no voice acting! I’m sure you guys would be good for it. Why not release speech packs sometime down the road?
Come on! : )
Hello! I’m afraid with the amount of dialogue in TGP, the amount of sound that’d need recording would be crippling- both in terms of cost and, probably, download size.
One day, we’ll do something different with actors, see how it goes.
Yep, I agree…
Especially for an Indie game like this, and I’ve been playing both games now and there is a sheer amount of dialogue, mostly in TGP.
Would be nice to have though, but it would mean toning down the writing I’d imagine, constantly thinking about cost…
If you guys make another game like this down the road, don’t feel pressure to put some voice acting in it, I’ll buy it regardless if there’s any voice acting or not…
And also because I’m Irish and I cn’t stand the english accent… ehem…
Well fuck me sideways. I bought Ben there Dan that & Time gentlemen please from steam and it completely blew me away. The humour, the puzzles, the atmosphere ..it’s all way better than most attempts at reviving the point & click genre! I wish you all the best with future projects.
Thank you all. Please do spread the word on forums and blogs and stuff - it’s the only type of advertising I can afford…!

I got the games via Steam and my only complain is that the game doesn’t appear in the list of steam games when you click the ‘View all # games’ hyperllink in the profiles, however the game itself is simply great!!
keep going, your work is outstanding!
Hmmm, that’s odd… I’ll find out why that is.
Hey guys,
Question for you. Is this game available elsewhere for purchase without steam??
Reason I ask is I know some people that might be interested in buying it but they are very anti-steam… Types that won’t install steam for one game.
I reckon they’ll enjoy this though.
Hahaha… scratch that, its available on the website here… silly me :P
:D
If you have any trouble whatsoever buying it through either Steam or Zombie Cow Studios, drop me a line to dan@zombie-cow.com and I’ll do whatever I can to help.

Hey guys I heard the folks over at PC Gamer UK talking about how TGP is better than Monkey Island but didn’t really research anything about it. But when I saw a demo pop up on Steam I tried it.
Long story short I am now the proud owner of BTDT and TGP thanks to the awesome deal (even if BTDT is free). I for one will be here day one for whatever you guys have next.
Also i’m spreading the word
I downloaded the Steam pack yesterday along with my purchase of Tales of Monkey Island and to say BTDT holds it’s own is an understatement (and sounds funny…”holds it’s own”)
I will be playing TGP tonight and it better have Al Murray in it and repeated use of the “a mouth’s a mouth” line otherwise I will fuck you up. Regards.
After seeing PC Gamer and Rock Paper Shotgun raving about them I was happy to see the games show up on Steam. I dug into my piggy bank and handed over £3. The games are pretty rad.
I know a whole bunch of voice actors including myself who would voice the games for free as for the download size im pretty sure AGS uses VOX sound files, 600/700mb? who cares, it would be worth it.
Not even close, I’m afraid - sure, it would probably be 600-700Mb if the games ever repeated phrases (”I can’t do that!”/ “I don’t see anything special about it!”) but the fact is that every single response in the game is (generally) several lines long and uniquely written.
As an example, Al Emmo and the Blackwell Games are, what, about 200-300 meg a piece? And they’ve been written from a point of view of limiting dialogue for voice acting.
To give you some idea, the inventory-on-inventory dialogue alone is about 10,000 lines - that’s before you start using them in any of the game’s 20-odd rooms. So it’s either a massive, expensive job, or a complete re-write.
Having just started using Steam I found a fantastic point and click game which reminded me of Sam and Max and Day of the Tenticle. All fantastic games.
Any Game that starts off by having to shove a fireworks up your Dead friends Bottom Hole gets my vote anytime
How easy was it to wrap the AGS stuff in Steam’s DRM?
